EASTBOURNE TOWN on

SAT FEB 4TH, KO3PM

Town play at the Saffrons; their full address is The Saffrons, Compton Place Road, Eastbourne BN21 1EA.

Travelling by car

According to the AA, the 51 mile journey from Bognor to Eastbourne should take you around 1 hour, 20 minutes – though given that the route takes you along busy coastal roads, you might want to allow a little longer! The route starts out on the A259 coast road, then follows the A27, by-passing Worthing and Brighton. So…

1. Head for Littlehampton and Wick on the A259.

2. At the Wick roundabout, take the second exit onto the A284 (signposted London, Brighton, Portsmouth.

3. Two miles later, at the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A27 and head towards Brighton.

4. Stay on the A27 for approx 30 miles, initially following signs for Brighton and later for Eastbourne.

5. Then, at traffic signals, turn right onto the A2270 (signposted Polegate, Willingdon, Wannock, Jevington).

6. Continue on the A2270 for four miles, then turn right to re-join the A259. Almost immediately (after about 50 yards), turn left into Southfields Road, then right onto Dittons Road.

7. Approx 300 yards later, take the third right into Compton Place Road (do not be tempted to take the second right into the street called The Saffrons). The football ground is near the end of Compton Place Road on your left.
