New Signings

5.15pm Friday 5th February

Bognor today have signed England under-17 international striker Jacob Walcott on work experience from Reading. 17 year old Jacob has already made his name at Reading this season scoring regularly for their Academy side.

He is joined by full back Daniel Joyce, also on loan from Reading, and both players will be available for tomorrow's match at Nyewood Lane against Tonbridge Angels.

Let's hope Jacob and Daniel prove as much a success as the last recruit from Reading, Jahsson Downes!

Young defender Lewis Dunk has also signed from Brighton. Lewis has scored a number of goals for the Seagulls this season and will also feature in tomorrow's squad.

Another addition to the squad is Ross Woolf, a player with Selsey who is both effective on the wing and has a reputation as a goalscorer.

Manager Darin Killpartrick said the club had managed to bring in the foursome without spending much money - something they needed to do as they are on tight budget but needed more bodies.

He is particularly excited by Walcott's arrival and said: "We are extremely grateful to Eamonn Dolan, who runs the acedemy at Reading, for making this possible.

"Jacob is an England under-17 international and will be a great asset to us.

"We welcome all four to the club and look forward to working with them. They will pep up the squad and reintroduce a bit more competition for places."

The Rocks have Lewis Ide suspended for the next two games, while Charlie Oatway (foot), Michael Birmingham (rib) and Richard Hudson (ankle) are doubts
