Two Youth Team Players sign for First Team squad

The club announced this afternoon that two of Mike Wood's youth team have signed Ryman League registration forms. Striker Aran Liebschner-McCarthy and central defender Connor Cody have both impressed manager Jamie Howell in recent youth team games, and will accompany the first team to their Alan Boon Cup (Ryman League Cup) match at Walton Casuals on Tuesday.

Youth team manager Mike Wood said "I am delighted for these two lads and really hope that not only do they get an opportunity to show what they can do at a higher level, but also that more from the youth side will get their chance in due course."

It is worth remembering how well Matt Whitehead has done for the first team since joining Bognor at the beginning of last season - at the age of 17, the same age as both Aran and Connor.

The Rock's managers continue to look at opportunities to strengthen the side and have been monitoring a number of possibilities.
