Christmas Raffle winners

Before I list this years Supporters’ Club Christmas Raffle winners I would like to get a couple of things out of the way.

Firstly, on behalf of the Supporters’ Club committee, I would like to say a BIG thank you to all those who bought tickets, donated prizes and turned up today to witness the draw and to put a small amount of money into the club.

Secondly, this raffle has always been deemed to be our biggest fundraiser of the year. Unfortunately this does not apply this year. I, from personal experience, understand that times are hard but if every supporter had entered this draw by buying one ticket this could have made all the difference.

At present the future of this event is hanging in the balance. I don’t think supporters realise how demoralising it is for the committee to hold events and have very little support except from those steadfast few who turn up to everything we try to do.

There is only so many times you can be knocked down before finally giving up. This years raffle could just be that time.

Finally I would like to thank Phil & Lesley who gave up their Sunday to open the clubhouse for us.
